Air museum

It feels so strange to have a weekend with half of our kids away. I walk around feeling like something is missing or that I’m forgetting something. It’s a slightly strange empty feeling compared to the loud full happy chaos that usually surrounds me. I’m trying to appreciate each moment for what is though.

We got to take these three to family day at the Arizona Commemerative Air Force museum in Mesa. We got to see historical artifacts and airplanes dating from World War One to Vietnam.

The kids flew bosa wood airplanes to win a prize.

We learned how to spit the navy planes by their wings and watched a demonstration on lift and drag in this airplane.

We found a Brinn sized airplane.

It was so good to learn a few interesting things about history and flight together.
