Look What I Did

So I copied this from a friend . . . maybe more so for me than for anyone else . . . I think it's interesting to see all the things I have done . . . and have yet to do in my life . . . and it's cool to see what everyone else has experienced, too. All you do is copy it and bold the things you have done.

1. Started your own blog
2. Slept under the stars
3. Played in a band
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower
6. Given more than you can afford to charity
7. Been to Disneyland
8. Climbed a mountain (really just hiked, but that's close enough)
9. Held a praying mantis
10. Sang a Solo (when I was 8, and sometimes in the shower)
11. Bungee jumped
12. Visited Paris
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch (the art of driving Eric crazy)
15. Adopted a child (2 of them--and they're the cutest boys ever)
16. Had food poisoning (well, water poisoning at girls camp)
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown your own vegetables (my lettuce is currently on its way)
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
20. Slept on an overnight train
21. Had a pillow fight
22. Hitch hiked
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill
24. Built a snow fort (I'm not a fan of the snow, at all)
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping
27. Run a Marathon (no thank you)
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset
31. Hit a home run (only in T-ball when I was like 5!)
32. Been on a cruise
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community
36. Taught yourself a new language
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied (Man, I have everything I need and more)
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person
39. Gone rock climbing (in a building, not a real rock . . . I discovered I'm afraid of heights)
40. Seen Michelangelo’s David
41. Sung karaoke (only at my mom's house)
42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt
43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant
44. Visited Africa
45. Walked on a beach by moonlight
46. Been transported in an ambulance
47. Had your portrait painted
48. Gone deep sea fishing
49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person
50. Been on television
51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling
52. Kissed in the rain
53. Played in the mud
54. Gone to a drive-in theater
55. Been in a movie (we were extras in a couple of movies when we were little, all rated R so I've never seen them--my part wasn't rated R)
56. Visited the Great Wall of China
57. Started a business (Linnelle and I had a really successful lemonade stand)
58. Taken a martial arts class
59. Visited Russia
60. Served at a soup kitchen (thanks to Young Women’s)
61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies
62. Gone whale watching (well, I saw a whale in Mexico, but it was by accident)
63. Got flowers for no reason
64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma (tried, fainted, failed)
65. Gone sky diving
66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp
67. Bounced a check (the 1st time I payed rent when I moved out of my parents house--honest mistake though)
68. Flown in a helicopter
69. Saved a favorite childhood toy (I save just about everything)
70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial
71. Eaten Caviar
72. Pieced a quilt
73. Stood in Times Square
74. Toured the Everglades
75. Been fired from a job (suspended, not fired--stupid Big Surf)
76. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London
77. Broken a bone
78. Been on a speeding motorcycle
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person (how about hiked the GC twice)
80. Published a book ("Growing Up Allen", with help from my sisters, given to my mom)
81. Visited the Vatican
82. Bought a brand new car (the green beast--2003)
83. Walked in Jerusalem
84. Had your picture in the newspaper
85. Read the entire Bible
86. Visited the White House (I absolutely love DC!)
87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating (fish)
88. Had chickenpox
89. Saved someone’s life
90. Sat on a jury (I've always wanted to, but when I had jury duty it kept getting canceled)
91. Met someone famous (Richard Simmons counts, right?)
92. Joined a book club (organized it and love it)
93. Lost a loved one
94. Had a baby
95. Seen the Alamo in person
96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake
97. Been involved in a lawsuit
98. Owned a cell phone (who doesn't these days?)
99. Been stung by a bee (actually I think it was a wasp)
100. Totally copied a post from someone's blog to your own (Pretty sure I just did :)

Impressive Laura, but you have been to an Amish community, in Iowa. We had lunch at one of their restaurants.

Thanks, Mom. I updated it, but I'm not sure if it should count since I have no recollection of it . . . how old was I?

Let's see, 1989, you were not 5 yet, that makes you 4! And I really don't think I have ever skinny-dipped, Eric, maybe you have a story to tell about your experience?

I'm smiling about the fact that you worked at Big Surf! I have some fun childhood memories of the time my sisters and I won a sand building contest there. We made a family of turtles. Ah, the memories! Thanks for a fun post.

Oh My Gosh! I worked at Big Surf too! Of course, you probably came as a baby the summer I was working...
