We drove into Seattle Monday afternoon with a couple hours left to visit the air and space museum (another shoutout to the astc passport program that allows us to get into so many museums for free with our science center membership!).
Perry was so excited to find a match—a picture of Donald to match his stuffy he was carrying with him that day.
The next day we spent at Pike Place market eating donuts and Piroshky’s, admiring the flowers, and visiting the gum wall. There is so much to see at Pike Place and I love it there.
I’m not even sure that I knew why at the time, but Perry was having a moment at the gum wall. And he blamed Kyler for his troubles. A sweet couple offered to take our family picture. Perry refused to join us at first and when he finally did he walked up and kicked poor Kyler. I try not to think about what that nice couple thought about us in that particular moment. But such is our life.
We spent the second half of our day at the Pacific Science Center. We watched science demonstrations, walked through the cool butterfly room, checked out the virtual reality exhibits, and more.
On our last morning in Seattle we visited the beach and played at the park.
Then it was time for the flight home. It is always bittersweet when a vacation comes to a close.
Goodbye, Washington! This trip was exactly what we all needed.
