This boy.
He spent two months of interviews, medical appointments, and paperwork.
There were four years of release time seminary.
And 18 years of life experience, choices, growth, and humility.
He is so ready for this.
In April, he got the most exciting message on a Tuesday morning. His call was ready!! He was so excited he said he couldn't stay in class one more second so he left school. He arranged with Eric that Eric would look at the call first and if it was stateside he would let Kyler know right away so Kyler could prepare for that. Hahaha! For the record, I was against the arrangement. Eric did look at the call, told Kyler he'd be fine, and then kept a neutral expression for the rest of the day. I really don't know how he did it--I wouldn't have been able to keep that information in.
He spread the word about his call and some friends and family came over to watch him open it.
We were SHOCKED and ECSTATIC about the call!

My jaw dropped at that news. What an incredible mission.
